Thanks To Give
Friends and family gather
warm embraces joyfully exchanged,
as the aroma of toasted spices fill the senses
in symphony of candlelight glow.
Traditions continue
with each passing year ~
a beckoning light of homecoming for the soul.
Laughter - silent perception -
heartfelt gratitude,
inexpressible.
Nourishment of comfort gathered arm in arm
around this Thanksgiving table of feast
replenishes sensations nearly forgotten -
though just a moment in fleeting. . .once again reunited
within the very depths of the being.
To everything that has been bestowed upon
my soul from before time-
I give thanks.
In this haven, time stands still
while contentment and love
exist.

Pumpkins make great Thanksgiving decorations. Let small children make turkeys out of a pumpkin by gluing large feathers on it for the tail, and making a face and head with construction paper and gluing onto the pumpkin.

The thinnest yellow light of November is more warming  and exhilarating than any wine they tell of.  The mite which November  contributes becomes equal in value to the bounty of July.
